I am currently working on perfecting my artist statement. After viewing the senior thesis show this past week, which was quite inspiring, my mind has been a mess of ideas.

I have been taking a printmaking class this semester. Although it is not my forte it is fun and fulfilling. I took one of my images and cropped it into a square format and carved the image onto linoleum. Again it is not my thing but I enjoyed the class.

Death....is traumatizing

I see people that look like you everywhere.

I see places and things that remind me of you.

I close up and want to curl up whenever I come to the realization that you are gone.

The gut wrenching pain hits me once again.

I will make you proud and have many stories to tell you...i promise.

I am ready for summer please....I leave for Paris in a month to study there for three weeks...I can't wait to see what imagery i get! I am currently working on MANY projects, which I will hopefully post very soon. I have three months for my collaboration, which hopefully will be published by then, a bunch of printmaking images, a bunch of film that is being developed, and in the near future a short film. Finals are underway and I am trying to crank it out so I can make work.

Collaboration Progress

We have been working insanely hard on our collaboration, which has finally took the form of a photographic book. Although we have had set backs it seems that our body of work is coming together quite successfully. Our photographs are connecting very well and creating a cohesive narrative about a general universal view of relationships at a young age. I am very excited about the final product!

Just had a show at Eastcastle Place yesterday. It was an interesting experience and enjoyed the atmosphere of the crowd. Just today I enjoyed scrolling through another roll of film that I just developed and the ones that caught my eye are above....who knows...more rolls to develop so more to come...and for class I am working on my artist statement, which is a lot harder than I wanted to believe....
