Even though I am continuing to work on my senior thesis (which is coming up faster than expected) I am starting a new body of work, which I will elaborate on as I develop the project.  I am starting to think about the upcoming year and how I will not be in school.....this terrifies me a bit.  It will also give me plenty of time to shoot and work on applying to graduate schools.  So far I am looking at Parsons, SFAI, and SCAD.

These are a few images from a new project I have been working on with 120 b&w film.  In the dark room I am experimenting with relationships between individuals as well as multiple negatives and spaces. I hope to develop these on ortho film later this month for a more intense visual effect.

So excited over this new book I purchased from Fourteen-Nineteen!  I can not stop looking through it...

I have been doing my work in a different way recently because I realized that I was not happy with what I was doing and I did not understand why either.  So here I go.... I had the honor to sit in on a lecture of my favorite photographer, Elinor Carucci.  Amazing woman and incredibly inspirational.  I hope to go to more lectures from amazing artists throughout the semester.

Madeleine, who is a talented artist, has been modeling for me for a good few years now and has never let me down.  I love shooting with her because of how she presents herself and her unique gorgeous look.  These are a few images out of the hundreds taken and I am more than excited to develop the rest of the film.  Recently I also received my copy of If You Leave , a publication from Fourteen-Nineteen, which is an incredible publishing company/ gallery based out of London.    www.fourteen-nineteen.com   The book is incredible...i can not wait to purchase the second edition!

I trace the right of your collar bone up to the nape of your neck,

caressing the material that holds you together.

I stare wondering how long you will stay this time.

Do I allow myself to love you?

Do you want me to...

You have hardened my heart.

A love lost long ago, still the base of my muse.

You a constant in my thoughts,

a ghost from my past.

Were you an illusion in my twisted mind?

A dream lost among traumas too dire to conjure?

Stop.

We held each other like small naïve children, not wanting to let go,

our fingers slipping...

the clawed victorian tub cradled our bodies as we let the water cascade down our frame while our arms

intertwined.

Inevitable.

Why...

….Inevitable.
